Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” In this book, Matthew Lee shares the steps that he and his family have taken in their amazing God-adventure. This is a book that I wish I would have read earlier in my Christian life. You’ll be challenged and inspired in your own walk with the Lord!

We are told in the Bible that we “Walk by Faith, and Not by Sight.” In this wonderful Book, you will truly see a person who lived this out with his Family. You you will be reminded that GOD is in the details of our life even in the seasons of extended waiting. I was inspired by this powerful story and know you will be too!

Beth Guckenberger- "Matthew shares his journey in a way that feels utterly accessible and replicable. Sometimes in this space, the steps towards adoption and orphan and vulnerable children advocacy seem complicated, and thus unattainable. The Lee family allows us to see inside their family and track their growth and learnings. This kind of access invites risk, and is a gift to the entire community. Enjoy!"

How do we put the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25 and 28 into action? In Matthews 25, Jesus separates the sheep from the goats based upon actions to help the less fortunate in His kingdom. In Matthew 25:42-43 Jesus says: “For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.”
But Jesus tells us to do more than help people physically. Jesus says in Matthews 28:19-20 to make disciples and grow His kingdom with new believers: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Faith Steps tells the story of Psalm 82:3 following the words of Jesus in Matthew 25 and 28. From a modest beginning, the work of Psalm 82:3 has been greatly blessed by the Lord. This is not to the glory of the Psalm 82:3 staff, it is to the glory of the Father. In fact, Jesus promises this in John 15:7-8!! “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
Faith Steps sums it up best: “The journey of Psalm 82:3 Mission continues to take steps to develop a safe children’s village and self-sustainable community center in Liberia, Africa. Each day lives are impacted through foster care, church and community, medical care, education, and employment. The commitment to defend the weak and fatherless deepens daily as one of the poorest places on planet earth becomes a place of hope, healing, and brighter futures.”
Jesus tells us that if we follow His commands, we are considered His friend. The staff of Psalm 82:3 are friends of Jesus. John 15:14-15: “You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

"God is able 'to do more than all we ask or imagine.' Matt Lee and his family are a great example of this. As they made themselves available and put their faith in Him, God and His power worked through them to create an incredible, life changing ministry. This book will encourage, inspire and challenge you to do the same."
Chip West- Pastor, Main Street Christian Church, Rushville, Indiana
“As someone who has spent just about my entire life in one place, reading about Matt’s experiences opens my eyes up to the great work the Lord is doing across the globe, in places and in lives much different from my own. We need to be regularly shaken out of our ethnocentric tunnel-vision and reminded of the global body of Christ."
John Davis, Pastor, and Author of “God Centered Christianity”
An inspiring story how a simple farm boy and his family took one baby step of faith at a time! A challenge to all believers to trust God in the small, and watch how He moves mountains!

Without faith it is impossible to please him. What a beautiful and inspiring story of faith! Matt takes you on an inspiring and heartfelt journey as he and his family take a trust fall into God’s plan over their own. We don’t always have the answers but we can trust that God does and he will make a way as we trust him with our stories. This book will ignite your faith and challenge you to return to your first love and trust him again like never before.

As a pastor and father of two children from Africa, I’m filled with joy for you to learn about this movement of God called Psalm 82:3. Matthew and Terah have been an inspiration and encouragement from day one. Their story is a story of faith, trust, disappointment and courage. But above all it is God’s story. You will be challenged and inspired as you read about this journey. You will see how God can move if you allow Him access to your heart and mind. You will be challenged to look deep into your own walk with God. So be ready to experience mission and purpose like never before. I’ve so enjoyed being a part of this journey and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you and Psalm 82:3.

“An honest and practical look at the highs and lows of Kingdom work, Lee’s story is a wonderful reminder of God’s bigger plans being revealed to those who faithfully follow Christ’s call. An encouragement for anyone in the midst of an unsettled ministry season”.
Patrick Snow, Vice President of Content, Christ in Youth
“I’ve had the privilege of knowing Matt for the last decade and his story for Psalm 82:3, printed here in the pages of Faith Steps, is as inspiring to me today as the first day our church joined in to support the mission in Liberia. There is no question that you will be inspired by his level of faith and dedication to the mission God has given him to “defend the weak and the fatherless and uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” The question will be what you choose to do in response to that inspiration!
Jason Rehmel, Lead Pastor, Eastside Christian Church, Milford, OH
Faith steps is a real life example of faithfully taking one step at a time – not knowing the future but knowing and trusting who holds the future. And the result is an exciting adventure!
